I want a massage
March 26, 2009 on 2:53 pm | In life | 1846 CommentsI want one of these SO bad. I’m going away to a resort next month and they have masseuses’ but I’m not sure if there is a difference between deep tissue massage and just a regular massage. This looks so relaxing.

Rushed Decisions
March 26, 2009 on 2:45 pm | In life | 2 CommentsI just ran into town to get a new sticker for the truck and am thinking about getting some new auto insurance quotes for it. It’s been a year and I didn’t really shop around for insurance when I got this truck. It was a spur of the moment purchase and I needed insurance fast. Normally I plan for such big purchases and the truck just happened with is not a good way to do things. I’ve regretted the quick insurance I just grabbed without investigating other options. It’s almost a sin to not compare different companies and quotes with the Internet now, but it’s not too late. It’s on my list now, I only have a month left on my current policy.
Regrets?
March 26, 2009 on 2:29 pm | In life | 2171 CommentsI had a bunch of real estate articles to write today for a company. It got me thinking because about 16 years ago I had my real estate license but when i moved out here and the rural market was so thin and somewhat depressed long before the depression I let it drop. There was no Internet back then like there is now. The Internet existed but not in its current form. If I had kept my license I could have done more in real estate with the help of the Internet. Maybe I should get my license back. But as much as I could have maybe made a go of it if I’d stuck with it, I don’t have any regrets. I love my life, and my work.
Maintaining Elderly Adult Independence With Adultcare Assistance Homecare
March 24, 2009 on 2:31 pm | In life | 187 CommentsHaving had my mother-in-law living with us for a year I know first hand the many challenges elderly people face daily. Although she was very sick at the time even when she went home there were many things she still could no longer do for herself. It was hard because we live so far away that we couldn’t be there everyday to do some of the harder things for her, and even just cooking meals for herself was difficult. That’s where adult care assistance like Phoenix Homecare can help.

Whether you or a loved one is just having troubles with daily chores, or has serious medical problems such as Alzheimer’s disease Home Care Phoenix provides a huge relief to families living in the Phoenix area. Check your local phone book if you are not in Phoenix for companies that can assist you in the way they do because you can’t always do it all yourself. Even when my mother-in-law was living here, and I’m home full-time, it was physically exhausting caring for her. Having someone come in and help out is invaluable to the caregiver as well as to the elderly adult. They can provide relief from difficult chores like bathing, do the shopping for your elderly relative on their own, prepare medicines and even set up reminders to keep your loved ones on track. The peace of mind for you is incredible and it gives older adults the ability to continue living on their own and being independent. As hard as it was on me to have my mother-in-law living here it was equally hard on her because she felt she had lost her independence, and no matter how hard you try to make that less of an impact it simply is. They are living with you, doing things your way because it has to be that way, and that’s hard on adults who have taken care of themselves for their entire lives.
If your loved one lives in Arizona you’re in luck, you can simply contact Phoenix Homecare and they will assist any adult living at home, in an apartment, in a senior assisted living home, or even a nursing home so you are sure they are getting the best quality care possible when you can’t be there to provide it for them.

Six of One: Half a Dozen of Another
March 24, 2009 on 1:11 pm | In life | 230 CommentsI’ve been really busy lately and getting a lot of work–that’s great on the one hand, more money, feeling good about my work. On the other hand it’s kind of bad because my house is starting to look like a refugee camp again, and I keep forgetting to take stuff out of the freezer for dinners so we’ve been eating out a lot–less money. At least for the time being the money coming in is more than what is going out, but if I could just get on a better schedule for myself I could save a lot of money on restaurants.
Creature Comfort
March 24, 2009 on 10:03 am | In life | 160 CommentsI love my new Berkline recliner and now my hubby wants one too. At first he said no, he didn’t need a new chair his old one was fine, then he sat in mine. I knew he’d change his mind the moment he sunk into the plush cushions and felt how it wrapped you up. You only live once and you should do it in comfort. I know he works so hard both at work and at home so he needs a chair that is relaxing and comfortable when he finally gets to sit down for awhile. Me, I sit around all day working on here so a nice comfortable chair is a good idea too.
Oatmeal’s Not Just For Breakfast!
March 24, 2009 on 9:59 am | In life | 191 CommentsI did an article the other day on facial and skin treatments and oatmeal was a principle ingredient in many of them. I’ve heard of oatmeal scrubs and masques before but never really tried it. Well last night, I took a bath and created an oatmeal scrub… I’m in LOVE. I’ve always loved oatmeal as a breakfast cereal but now I’m going to have to buy a container for the bathroom too. It’s so easy to use and make. Instant oatmeal and hot water and there you have it. Nothing fancy, not expensive, quick and simple to use. You can make a loose paste for a scrub or a thick heavy paste for a masque. I kind of made it in the middle and used it as a scrub and then let it sit on my face until it dried… what an invigorating feeling. It washes off easily in warm water and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. Why spend a fortune on skin cleansers and facial masques when you can just buy some generic quick oatmeal and do it yourself?
Stop the Diet Confusion at Weight Loss HQ
March 23, 2009 on 7:32 pm | In life | 495 CommentsDoes the very idea of dieting confuse you? As most of you know I’ve been dieting for two years and along with exercise I’ve lost 100 pounds and at the same time, am still working toward my ultimate goal. The last six months have been a real struggle and I’ve worked hard to figure out what products might help me along the way. Let me tell you I’m just about as confused as anyone out there. Let me tell you something else–I believe I’ve found something important. A website so thorough and up-front that it is a GENUINE help to those of us looking to find out what works and what doesn’t in the realm of diet aides, exercise gimmicks and gadgets, and diet regimens. You could spend a good deal of time on the Weight Loss HQ site but if you want to lose weight fast it is worth every moment you take to investigate what they have to say. The in-depth reviews are well thought out and balanced.
One of the reviews on the site is for the P90X weight loss system. I’ve actually heard a lot about it from others, even some celebs on Twitter. Of course those sources, while interesting, do not really go into details other than they’re doing it, or it works, etc… The review on the Weight Loss HQ has details that really tell you what to expect from it and why it does, or doesn’t work. There are even places where you can add your own comments on any product including the P90X weight loss plan. Signing up for the site is free and very easy.

There is also a page detailing the P90X Nutrition Plan. Along with many other products this site is a true benefit to those of us trying to make heads or tails of all the products out there to help us lose weight. Check it out and see if you don’t agree. I’ll be there.
